“We are not one-dimensional, and our multiple dimensions are not static. Just as our bodies are made of many parts that form a dynamic, interwoven system that works together, so it is with our psyches. We are more awake, alive, and complex than we know.”
― Ralph De La Rosa
Meet The Founder.
Elizabeth is a behavior specialist trained as a play therapist focusing on life transitions. That is a fancy way of saying she really likes working in community healing. As a disabled south asian therapist, she hopes to share her passion of helping souls realize their potential through self-empowerment. She believes in the power of holistic self-care by not only focusing on the physical body but the spiritual self as well. She is a recreation and movement therapist, who double majored in therapeutic recreation and mental health counseling. She graduated with her masters in applied behavior analysis and currently practices individual adult, child-focused, and couples psychotherapy. She offers group sessions as a certified meditation instructor, EMDR provider, sex educator, and internal family systems specialist with a background of working in the mental health field the last decade.
While working in inpatient psychiatry, Elizabeth realized that she is fueled by helping people find their spark, particularly through movement, education, and play. In addition, she has worked for the mental health and rehabilitation department in the Prison System, which sparked a desire to showcase and amplify the voices of the unheard. She also believes in the importance of advocating for our current broken social justice system. As a former Ted-X speaker, she believes in the power of rehabilitation and expression through words and poetry, but also believes that the fire starts by finding the spark within.
Liz believes in the power of psychotherapy while using her experiences as a first-generation Indian American and life as a disabled parent to lead others find their own self energy through different paths of healing.
